Standards
Editorial guidelines
These are the rules every GENZBEGIN writer and editor works to. They are public so you can hold us to them.
Accuracy first
- Every claim in a GENZBEGIN story is checked against a named, verifiable source before publication.
- If we cannot verify something, we either leave it out or say plainly what remains unconfirmed.
- Numbers, dates and quotes are checked twice: once by the writer, once by the editor who publishes.
Sourcing and attribution
- Where a story is built on another outlet's reporting, we credit that outlet by name and link to it.
- Live headlines shown on our desks come from third-party publishers and always link back to them. We do not republish their article text.
- Anonymous sources are used only when there is a real risk to the person speaking, and only with an editor's approval.
Independence
- Advertising, partnerships and sponsorships never influence what we cover or how we cover it.
- Sponsored or partnered content is labelled clearly at the top of the page.
- Contributors declare any personal, financial or political interest in a story before writing it.
Money coverage
- Our Money desk explains markets, jobs and personal finance as journalism. It is never investment advice.
- We do not recommend individual stocks, tokens or products, and we do not take payment to feature them.
Corrections
- If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say what changed at the foot of the story.
- Significant corrections are logged internally with the editor's name and the time of the change.
- Spotted an error? Write to hello@genzbegin.com and we will look at it the same day.
AI and images
- Stories are written and edited by people. AI is used only for research support and never to invent quotes or facts.
- Illustrations that are not photographs of a real scene are labelled as illustrations.
